2 hour workout!!!
Today, I loaded up my shuffle with a tough Cardio Coach workout (these are great, it's like having a personal trainer in your ear, giving you challenges like sprints and hill climbs, all based on your perceived exertion, so you get a great workout) and went to Tryon Creek. Lots of sprints, and six minutes of hill climbs at close to my max heart rate, lots of fun.
I headed back to the Nature Center to stretch and do some pushups, when I ran into some of the women from my Saturday exercise class. They were just about to start a class, and I was feeling good, so I joined them for workout number two, and Amy took us on a long, hilly run.
Amazingly, I felt GREAT during both workouts, and ended up running for almost two hours, with a bunch of push ups, ab work, plies and leg work added in.
It was warm out, so I was running in shorts, and ended up caked in mud all over my legs.
One of the best runs I've had maybe ever. GRIN!

there's something about the energy of spring-love this post!
When we get through this week, spring will officially be here. It's cold today, Sunday and maybe Monday, but it's supposed to be mid-40s by Tues and 50 by Weds. By Thursday, they're talking 60 and that means my ass is on a bike.
YAY!!
I love how I feel after I work out. A really great work out can be better than any sexual experience I've ever had (which doesn't say much for my sex life, but eh, it's how it is). But I constantly find that I'm fighting against an innate lazy-ness when it comes to exercise. So, I have to find stuff that I love doing -- hence the bike.
I've always wanted to run, and if I can lose a bunch of weight this year, I might start that next spring. Right now, I'm too heavy to run and my poor still-recovering-from-smoking-for-17-years lungs are not up for it.
So, maybe next spring.
Interesting to know.
